Key Types of Export Pallets
- Plastic Pallets: Made from molded plastic, they are naturally exempt from ISPM 15 rules, waterproof, and lightweight.
- Wood Pallets: Must be heat-treated or fumigated and stamped with an ISPM 15 certification mark to prevent spreading bugs.
- Presswood Pallets: Made from molded wood chips, these are also ISPM 15 exempt and nestable.
Important Shipping Rules
- ISPM 15 Compliance: Global rules meant to stop invasive wood pests. Wood needs a heat or chemical stamp; plastic does not.
- Nestable Design: Legs fit inside lower pallets to cut down storage and freight space.
- Weight Limits: Built light to lower air or ocean freight costs, but rated for specific load weights.
